Journalist Mufti Islah wins prestigious ENBA award

Srinagar: Senior Journalist Mufti Islah has won the prestigious News Broadcasting Awards- ENBA from Jammu and Kashmir.
Mufti is currently Jammu and Kashmir bureau chief of premier media organization CNN News 18.
Mufti Islah received the award at a function in New Delhi on Saturday evening. Besides Mufti, four other journalists received the awards.
A senior journalist, Mufti Islah, has a 20 years experience in journalism, representing both print and visual media. He worked with The Indian Express from 1997 to 2005 before shifting to one of India’s largest media group – Network 18.
This is his second national award. Earlier, Mufti won the Ramnath Goenka award in 2013.
The ENBA awards were started in 2008 with the objective of recognising the best in television news and to reward broadcasters and industry leaders who are shaping the future of Television Broadcasting in India to honour the people who make the industry what it is.
An eminent jury chaired by Dr Nasim Zaidi, former chief election commissioner, sifted through hundreds of entries to clear the names of the winners.
