Jammu attack: Speaker expunges his remarks after opp corners him

Jammu: The J&K Legislative Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta Saturday expunged his remarks on Rohingya Muslims after he was cornered by opposition members and the ruling PDP.
Soon as the session started after the adjournment, the members of the NC told Speaker to withdraw his remarks on Rohingya Muslims.
The Speaker had earlier blamed the presence of Rohingya Muslims for the militant attack on army camp in Sunjwan area of Jammu.
The opposition legislators staged a forceful protest against the remark compelling Speakewr to adjourn the house for ten minutes. The house also witnessed anti-Pakistan slogans from BJP members during the ruckus.
Later the Speaker withdrew his statement.
Meanwhile, government informed the house that two soldiers were killed in an ongoing operation at Sunjwan area of Jammu district.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri while revealing the details regarding the ongoing operation said that two JCOs were killed in the attack.
