DHSK organises seminar on role of media in health awareness

BARAMULLA: District Hospital Baramulla organized a day-long seminar to highlight the role of media in public health awareness and to create an understanding among people about the availability of health services. The seminar titled ‘Role of Media in public health awareness’ was held at Dak Bangalow Baramulla in which media persons and other functionaries of Health Department participated. Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr Syed Masood termed the media fraternity as a vital component in bridging the gap between the health department and people at large. He impressed upon them to highlight various medicare facilities that are being served in district hospital Baramulla. Moreover, he appealed people to avail benefits of various government driven services besides stressing upon fulfilling their responsibilities in safeguarding these assets.
