Amid uproar in LA over border killings, speaker adjourns house

Srinagar: Members of ruling BJP and opposition National Conference on Monday stage  a strong protest demonstrations against the continuous  shelling by Pakistan in Rajouri district of Jammu region.

BJP MLA Ravinder Raina supported by other legislators stood up from their chairs and condemned the shelling, resulting in killing of four soldiers and injuries to several others in border district Rajouri.

The BJP legislators while shouting the anti-Pakistan slogans asked the forces to give Pakistan a befitting answer.

According to reports, the legislators of NC including Devinder Rana and Ali Mohd Sagar sought speakers attention and demanded chief minister’s Mehbooba Mufti’s statement over the continuous selling along the border.

“For how long shall it continue and innocent lives be lost,” they said.

Amid uproar , the speaker Kavinder Gupta adjourned house for ten minutes.

 

Pertinently, an army captain and three soldiers were killed yesterday at Bhimer Gali sector. (GNS)
