Shopian: A spontaneous shutdown was observed in Shopian district on the eleventh day on Saturday while as neighbouring Pulwama returned to normal.
According to GNS, all the shops and commercial establishments were closed in Shopian and transport was also off the roads.
Shopian has been observing shutdown against the killing of five civilians over the past week and injuring of scores of others including two teenage girls near encounter site at Chaigund Audoo village in the district.
The killings sparked strong protests in the twin districts.
Meanwhile, life returned to normal in neighbouring Pulwama district while as 2G mobile internet services were restored after 11 days in the twin districts
