The two-day festival will commence on February 17. Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) and Tourism officials said that the festival is aimed at reviving tourism in Kashmir – Pahalgam, in particular.
“We have so far received more than four thousand bookings and we are expecting many more in the coming days,” Assistant Director Toursim, Bilal Ahmad said.
He said that cultural programs, village walks, food stalls and tonga rides will be the main attraction of the 2-day festival.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the PDA, Mushtaq Simnani, said that the whole Pahalgam market will be illuminated for the occasion.
“We are expecting guests from the film industry and may be some ministers from the centre and other states as well. It’s going to be a mega event,” he said.
