CB files case against SKUAST officials for fraud recruitment

Srinagar: Crime Branch on Saturday registered a case against the officials of Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture and Technology, Kashmir for fraudulently forwarding the list of 71 ineligible candidates for regularization to the government.
Crime Branch in a statement said that a case FIR no 05/18 U/S 420,467,468,120-B RPC has been registered against Prof. G.N.Bhat, the then Registrar, Dr. Zaki, the then Dy. Registrar/the then Assistant Registrar (Estt) and the DDOs/HODs concerned of Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture and Technology Kashmir.
The Crime Branch statement added: Under a well-knit criminal conspiracy by the manipulation of records have forwarded the cases of 71 daily paid Labours of SKUAST to Govt. for regularization on extraneous consideration fraudulently and dishonestly who were otherwise not eligible for the same. Even some DPLS have been found to be non-existent.”

    Criminals must be punished as an educational institute should have always an honest staff to fulfill the core responsibilities of research extension and education.Educational institutions should always be free from corrupt and dishonest staff.
