Clashes, shutdown follow searches conducted by government forces

Anantnag: Two local shopkeepers and one CRPF soldier were injured after militants hurled a grenade at a CRPF patrol party, here in Tral town of Pulwama district on Saturday noon.
The injured shopkeepers have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad sheikh, both residents of Kachmulla area of Tral.
The attack, as per police reports, was carried out by militants at about noon near the Batgund-Kachmulla crossing in main town Tral.
“A CRPF patrol party was targeted. In the explosion a CRPF personnel and two civilians were injured,” SP Awantipora, Zahid Malik, told Kashmir Reader.
He said that all the injured were stable and completely out of danger.
Local sources maintained that the shopkeepers were hit by splinters and were discharged from a local hospital after treatment.
Following the explosion a cache of government forces cordoned off the area and carried out searches.
The heavy deployment of forces triggered clashes in Bus Adda area.
Local sources said that some local youths pelted stones at government forces, who fired several tear smoke shells in response.
No one was reported injured during the clashes.
