New Delhi justifying Kashmir killings: UJC

SRINAGAR: United Jihad Council (UJC), a conglomerate of several militant groups of Kashmir, on Friday said the Indian leadership and its defence experts are justifying the killing of Kashmiris.
In a statement issued to a local news agency KNS, the UJC spokesperson Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted its chief Syed Salahuddin as saying, “At a time when forces continue to shower pellets and bullets on people of Kashmir, the Indian leadership and defence expert are justifying their wrongdoings.”
“The pro-freedom leaders and others languishing in jails are facing hardships. Raids are being carried out to arrest the ailing woman pro-freedom leader Syeda Aasiya Andrabi who was recently released,” Salahuddin said. “Aasiya will never succumb to such kind of things.”
The UJC chief said the international human rights bodies by acting as mute spectators are providing a licence to forces to kill Kashmiris, which is condemnable.
