One injured rescued

Kupwara: Three army soldiers of 21 Rajput Rifles were killed while one was injured when a snow avalanche hit an army post in Machil village along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district on Friday afternoon.
A senior army officer said that an army post of 21 Rajput Rifles came under an avalanche today at around 4.30 pm at Sona Pandi Gali in Machil along the LoC.
He said that four soldiers went missing due to avalanche. A search operation was started immediately, and all the four soldiers trapped under snow were evacuated.
However, one died on the spot and two others succumbed while referring to 92 Base Hospital, Badamibagh, Srinagar. The fourth one, namely Sepoy Bipin, is said to be stable and has been hospitalised, the officer said.
The officer identified the deceased as Havaldar Kamlesh Kumar, Naik Balbeer and Sepoy Rajinder.
