Baramulla: Six years after the construction was started on the mini secretariat in Tangmarg in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District, the work on the buildings are yet to be completed.
To ease the people’s woes, the government started the construction of mini secretariat in the year 2012 so that all the departments can work jointly under a single roof. The work was handed over to Jammu and Kashmir project construction corporation (JKPCC).
Residents said by the end of 2013, they almost completed its one storey, but later left it without any reason. “Some people are parking their vehicles in the ground floor of the building, while some playing cards on its first storey and on the other side the government is unmoved to look into this matter,” said locals, and accused the government of showing indifferent attitude towards the issue.
According to the residents, they are facing numerous hardships as they have to visit government departments located in different areas, “urging the government to expedite the construction work.”
