Fire kills livestock at government run farm in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Several superior breed livestock was Thursday charred to death after the Government run animal farm caught fire at Ranbirbagh area here, last night.
The government run Livestock development Board Kashmir “Bull Mother Farm” Ranbirbagh Ganderbal according to police caught fire during last midnight resulting in death of 17 animals.
A police official, however told Kashmir Reader that there was no loss or injury of humans in the blaze.
He added that in this tragic incident 10 Jersey cows, six Jersey calves and a buffalo calf died along with damages to the cow shed.
The cause of fire could not be ascertained yet. The official said in this regard police station Lar has registered a case with FIR No 05/18 U/S 429,436 RPC and investigation initiated.
