SRINAGAR: A team of Jammu and Kashmir police led by SHO of police station Soura on Wednesday evening raided the house of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi at 90 feet road and attempted to arrest her, a party statement said.
“However, the bid to arrest Aasiya Andrabi was foiled by her personal secretary Sofi Fehmeeda,” the statement added.
“The police carried the arrest warrant from the first class magistrate of Srinagar. Baji Sahiba is ill for the last several days and is bed ridden. The goons in uniform still wanted to arrest her.”
“However, Fehmeeda resisted the move and did not allow the police to arrest Syeda Aasiya,” the statement said.
The party has requested the people to pray for the speedy recovery of Aasiya Andrabi.
