Srinagar: Indian and Pakistani troops resorted to heavy cross border firing in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, reports said.
“71 schools have been closed due to heavy shelling in Lam area of Nowshera. Measures are being taken for safety of people,” reports quoting Rajouri District Commissioner Shahid Choudhary said.
After every cross border firing incident along the International Border (IB) or the Line of Control (LoC), both India and Pakistan accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
