NEW DELHI: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is likely to chair a meeting of opposition leaders on Thursday to plan a joint strategy for the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament. Sources told PTI, the meeting is slated to be held in the Parliament Library Building in the evening after the presentation of the Budget Thursday morning by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Hectic preparations are on to garner the support of all 17 parties that had come together during the presidential and vice presidential polls with Congress hopeful of a good gathering. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad is taking the lead in inviting the leaders. Among the parties likely to attend tomorrow’s meet are NCP, DMK, TMC, SP, NC, CPI(M), CPI, RJD, JMM, RSP, IUML, Kerala Congress.
