17 animals charred to death in Ganderbal fire incident

Ganderbal: 17 animals were charred to death as Government run animal farm completely gutted in fire at Ranbir Bagh area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, last night.
The Government run Livestock development Board Kashmir “Bull Mother Farm” Ranbir Bagh Ganderbal inaugurated in December 2015 caught fire during last midnight. 17 animals were charred to death in the fire incident and entire cow shed was gutted.
A police official told Kashmir reader that there was no loss or injury of human life in this incident.
He said 10 Jersey Cows, 06 Jersey Calves and 01 Buffalo calf died in the tragic incident.
The cause of fire was being ascertained, sources said.
Official sources said that Police Station Lar has registered a case with FIR No 05/18 U/S 429,436 RPC and investigation has been taken up.
