SRINAGAR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday once again summoned the wife of resistance leader Shabir Shah who is in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for more than eight months.
Shah’s wife, Dr Bilques, told Kashmir Reader that she was grilled for seven hours by the ED for questions that she has answered many times earlier.
“Today I was made to reply to all those old questions about my job, livelihood, education of my children, bank details, earnings, property, etc,” she said.
Bilques said she objected to answering questions whose answers she had already given in writing many times.
“After I objected, the Assistant Director ED said, Madam, the previous Enforcement Officer has been transferred out to his parent department and now I am totally fresh to the case, so need to have all the details once again,” she said and added that Shah’s nephew was also questioned for 10-12 hours on Monday.
Shah is in detention at Tihar Jail over a money-laundering case. A chargesheet has already been filed against him by the ED.
“Nothing has been found/ proved against Shabir Shah till date. It has made the ED officers more frustrated, because of which they also grilled Shah saab’s nephew yesterday for 10-12 hours from morning 11am to evening 10pm. And today I was made to reply to all those old questions,” said Bilques.
