Jammu: Members of opposition National Conference here on Tuesday asked the government to come clear on the figures of the regularization of casual labors and backdoor appointments in Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
MLA Pahalgam Altaf Wani asked the government to clearify whether they will regularize 60 thousand casual labors as announced by the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu within and outside the house or it plans to regularize more than one lakh casual labors as mentioned in the written replies of several questions on the issue raised by the opposition members in the house.
NC’s Ali Mohammad Sagar and Abdul Majeed Larmi also accused the government of trying to hide the backdoor appointments in Jammu and Kashmir bank.
“Government is doing this to justify appointments of party workers of ruling PDP-BJP under the garb of regularization plan for daily wagers,” they said.
They also said that the financial position of Jammu and Kashmir bank has been badly hit so much so that people are now thinking to withdraw deposits from the bank and close their accounts.
