Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Recruitment Board on Monday termed the selection of candidates selected for Junior Anesthesia Assistant invalid over the row in eligibility.
Staging a protest here in press enclave, aggrieved candidates accused the JKSSB officials of taking them for a ride and demanded action against them.
Giving details the aggrieved candidates that JKSSRB published a notice in 2015 inviting applications from aspirants for the post of Junior Anesthesia Assistant.
As per the advertisement the eligibility for the post was shown as 10+2 with Science and Diploma in Anesthesia. The candidate with diploma or degree in operation theatre got a letter from Director Health Services claiming their eligibility and eventually forms of Operation theatre diploma and degree holders were also accepted.
The pretesting aspirants said that they were shocked when JKSSRB officials informed them about that they are not eligible for the post.
“If we were not eligible then why JKSSRB allowed us to sit in the examination. Beside accepted our application forms with eligibility details,” the protesters said.
“When DHSK has issued a formal order regarding eligibility, how can SSRB reject it now?, they questioned.
