Grenades hurled at Sopore police post, two cops injured

Sopore: Two policemen were injured on Saturday in a grenade attack on Warpora police post in outskirts of Sopore.
Police officials said they two grenades were shot at Warpora police post in which two policemen received minor injuries.The injured policemen were identified as Akeel Ahmad and Abdul Rashid.
Immediately after the attack, 22 RR, 179 Bn CRPF and Sopore police cordoned off the area to nab the attackers. The cordon was on while this report was being filed.
Early this month, militants planted Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Sopore in which four policemen were killed. The four personnel belonging to Indian Reserve Police-3rd battalion were on duty when the pro-freedom group had called for shutdown on Sopore massacre anniversary.
