Tral shuts to observe local militant’s death anniversary

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed Saturday in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to mark the third death anniversary of two local Hizbul Mujahideen militants.
Abid Khan and Sheraz Ahmad, were killed in Handoora Tral during a gunfight with government forces on 27 January 201, local sources said.
Two forces personnel including Colonel MN Rai of 42 RR and Police Head Constable Sanjeev Singh were also killed in the gunfight.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that all shops and business establishments are closed while traffic was off the roads.
