Srinagar: Two teenage girls were injured on Wednesday evening during clashes at Chaigund village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The clashes erupted soon after a gunfight broke out in the area between militants and the government forces.
Official sources said that two teenage girls sustained injuries in fresh police and paramilitary forces action.
The forces action followed intense stone pelting at them by protesters near the gunfight site.
Both the injured girls were shifted to Pulwama district hospital for treatment.
The injured girls were referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
Sources identified the duo as Sumiya and Sabreena.
