37 driving licenses suspended for using cell phone

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police on Tuesday suspended licenses of 37 drivers who were found using cell phone while driving.
The Police spokesperson said that the license of violators has been recommended for suspension for the period of three months.
“16 licenses have been suspended by concerned ARTO’s and rests 21 are under process for suspension,” spokesperson said.
Police spokesperson said that the drivers whose licences were suspended included 19 from Srinagar, 5 from Budgam, 3 from Pulwama and Baramulla each, 2 from Bandipora & 1 each from Jammu, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kargil & Poonch Districts.
