3 killed as car plunges into gorge in Kapran

Anantnag: Three people, including a husband and wife were killed Tuesday afternoon after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a gorge, here in Kapran area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The deceased have been identified as 55 year old Mohiuddin Gujjar, son of Ahmad Din; his 50 year old wife Hajara Begum and their driver 35 year old Muhammad Yousuf Bimla son of Kaloo Bimla.
All three of them were residents of Ringmandu village in Kapran area of Dooru, here in Anantnag district.
According to reports the three of them were travelling in a van, (JK03 E-1002), when the mishap took place near Hingipora Dooru.
“There was slight snowfall in the area making the road conditions slippery. The driver apparently lost control over the vehicle in slippery conditions, making the vehicle plunge into the gorge,” a police official told Kashmir Reader.
He said that the three of them died on spot.
Efforts to retrieve the bodies were on while this report was being filed.
