Jammu: PDP MLA on Monday told the Legislative Assembly that JK cadre Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer was awaiting posting.
MLA Sonwar, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, revealed that J&K government has not pursued the case with government of India (GoI).
“It is unfortunate that an able IFS officer from our state has no place here,” Mir said. “The JK government has not sent its notice to GoI that we need his services.”
Mir asked Mehbooba led government to immediately direct the forest department to pursue the case “so that state is benefitted by the services of the son of the soil”.
Mir told Kashmir Reader that Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat qualified IFS in 2016 and ranked 24. “Bhat has completed training but is not posted anywhere yet,” he said.
