Parents protest weak performance of Lolab school

Only one of 33 students passed class 10

Kupwara: Residents in Shranth area of Lolab in Kupwara district are protesting against the Education department and the local school management over the poor performance of the school in class 10 examination.
Sarpanch of Shranth village, Abdul Rashid, told Kashmir Reader that only one student out of 33 passed the class 10th examinations this year.
He said that they have complained to the Zonal education officer and chief education officer “but they do not take any attention”.
He added that they urged concerned officers to start winter tuition for all students including the failed students “but they told us to shift our wards to Kupwara for winter tuition”.
Chanting anti government and anti education department slogans the protestors appealed higher officials of education department to take action against the school management and also start winter class for the students of the area.
