Beerwah residents protest delay in Aadhar services

BUDGAM: Scores of villagers from Beerwah in district Budgam held a protest on Monday morning against the delaying of aadhar card services.
Demanding action against the aadhar service providers, the people from different villages assembled outside the tehsil office and chanted slogans against inordinate delay of aadhar facility from the side of tehsil administrators.
The villagers said that they were told to come on Monday and enroll themselves at aadhar centre by the tehsil office of Beerwah.
“But on Monday morning when we visited the tehsil office to proceed for aadhar enrollment along with kids and kins, they asked us to return home,” protestors alleged.
“We are being deprived from getting ration from the ration stores as we have no aadhar linked with that,” they said
The protestors added that the students are facing hardships in educational institutes without aadhar card.
“We request district administration to intervene and solve our long pending problem,” protestors said.
