Jammu: National Conference’s Pahalgam and Ganderbal legislators Saturday sought revival of water transport from Khanabal in southern Kashmir to Baramulla in northern Kashmir.
Participating in the discussion over grants to transport sector legislators Altaf Kaloo and Ishfaq Jabbar said that water transport would help government in tackling traffic congestion.
Kaloo also sought introduction of electric cars in the state.
Kaloo also slammed the government over appointment of vice chairperson of corporations terming it as “political rehabilitation”
“These VCs and other political appointments are being allotted five vehicles each while an elected MLA is given only two,” he said. Speaker of the house corroborated the statement.
