SRINAGAR: Reacting over the Indian army chief Gen Bipin Rawat’s statements on Kashmir, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Thursday said for the last 70 years, Indian “vicious plots” are biting the dust.
A Lashkar spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to a local news agency GNS quoted the outfit chief as saying that India is involved in “gross terror activities” in Kashmir for the last 70 years to “sabotage the freedom struggle” but has always failed in its “vicious plots”.
“Bipin Rawat is of the opinion that the struggle of Kashmiris will never bear fruit. He must check with the facts before issuing such a baseless speculation. Kashmiris have bred hatred against India for 70 years,” the spokesperson quoted LeT chief as saying.
“If Bipin Rawat thinks that freedom fighters will not retaliate, this is a mere assumption. We will never stop our freedom struggle till the last Indian soldier quits Kashmir,” Shah said.
“The indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmir is in its final stage and the public is in solidarity with their freedom fighter brethren,” he said.
The Lashkar chief added, “India, in its misery, has lost its ground, therefore looking towards United States and Israel. This is the sign of their defeat. If India ever succeeded in Kashmir, it would never have sought help from Israel.”
“This will not be the first time when Israeli troops will bite the dust against us. The Israel-India nexus under the supervision of US is not new. Kashmir is ours and we will have it at all costs. With the help of Allah (SWT), the vision of ‘Akhand Bharat’ will vanish in dust,” Mehmood Shah said.
