Srinagar: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town Friday soon after a grenade blast which injured two civilians, sources said.
Local sources said that soon after the explosion government forces cordoned the area to search for the grenade throwers, scores of youth raised slogans and pelted rocks on them.
Forces retaliated with tear smoke shelling creating panic in the whole town.
Earlier suspected militants hurled a hand grenade in Pulwama which exploded in tehsil office premises injuring two civilians, sources said.
The explosion also damaged many parked vehicles in tehsil office, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.
