Militants killed near LoC buried: Police

Baramulla: Police on Monday night buried all the four militants killed by army near the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday night.
Police sources said the bodies of four militants were buried near the TV tower close to the army brigade in Uri area of north Kashmir on Monday night where dozens of other non-local militants were buried in past. However, the body of the fifth militant lying on the other side of the river Jhelum close to LoC could not be retrieved as the area falls under the firing range of Pakistani forces.
Sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Uri Syeed Javid Ahmad confirmed to Kashmir Reader that four bodies were buried in Uri while the body of fifth militant is yet to be retrieved.
About two dozen people including some policemen were present during the burial process.
Meanwhile, sources said that from Sunday night after encounter, there is very less movement of army from both sides of the LoC. The private vehicles were also not allowed to move from the areas falling under the firing range of border forces.
