SRINAGAR: A large group of enthusiastic youngsters gathered near zero bridge on the banks of River Jhelum to showcase their talent in music, poetry and other forms of art. The event, youth fest-2018, was organised by Idream Events and Advertising , which described it as an open platform for the budding talent of the Valley, in collaboration with Zero Bridge fine-dine.
Several young rappers enthralled the audience with their performances in Kashmiri and Urdu. Young poets recited their poems highlighting the pain and suffering of Kashmiris who manoeuver through the circumstances to keep the ship of their aspirations afloat.
“The motive behind this fest is to encourage, explore and channelise the raw talent of the youth in Kashmir,” said Raheel Khan, founder of the Idream advertising.
Around 16 budding artists and photographers exhibited their artwork while different bands and musicians performed at the Youth Fest 2018. “It took me seven years to organise this fest which I had actually planned in college days. We will be organising more events where we will bring all the talented youth on single platform,” Khan said.w
