Highlight importance of MoU with J&K Police
SRINAGAR: To aware police personnel with new the schemes and services being introduced by J&K Bank for J&K police, an interaction-cum-awareness meet on memorandum of understanding (MoU) between J&K Bank and J&K Police was organised by IRP 20th Battalion (Bn) at Armed Police Complex, Parihaspora on Wednesday. Inspector General of Police AP/IRP Kashmir Ahfadul Mujtaba, who was the chief guest on the occasion, also held a meeting with the officers and police personnel, an official handout read.
The function was attended by the officers and personnel of IRP 3rd, 9th and 20th battalions.
CO IRP 20th Battalion Baqar Samoon in his welcome speech gave an idea about the memorandum of understanding to the police personnel.
J&K Bank officials highlighted the importance and benefits of the MoU, which was signed by Director General of Police S P Vaid and Chairman J&K Bank Parvez Ahmad. The bank officials apprised the officers and officials that by virtue of this MoU, the bank would “provide preferential banking services and benefits to the J&K Police personnel”, the handout further read. IGP AP/IRP Kashmir distributed credit cards of J&K Bank among the officers/officials of the three battalions during the interactive meet. A darbar (meeting) was also held by the IGP AP/IRP Ahfadul Mujtaba with the officers/officials and headed a prayer meeting, remembering the officer and personnel who were killed at Sopore.
He cautioned the police personnel to “remain extra alert and cautious during their duties and also lend a helping hand to the common people”.
