Clashes erupt in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Srinagar: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in south Kashmir’s Shopian town on Wednesday.
Local sources said that protesters hit the streets and raised slogans against the killing of a civilian, Khalid Ahmad R/O Khudwani at the hands of government forces during clashes on Tuesday.
They also raised slogans against the killing of a Hizb militant, Farheen Ahmad during a gunfight in Kokerna, Anantnag.
The protesters pelted rocks on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shells resulting in tension in the southern Apple town, witnesses said.
