SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Contingent Paid Workers of Education Department on Monday held a protest in Press Enclave demanding regularisation of their services.
The workers led by their president Nazir Ahmad Rather, said, “The government has already implemented SRO 380 for us. But we are not getting any kind of benefit due to lack of vacancies.”
He said we have qualified workers in the department and their services should be regularised as well.
“We demand that the state government should regularise our qualified workers and also those workers who are not much qualified,” he said.
Zahid, a contingent paid worker, said, “We have also 50 percent of quota in the state. We demand from the state government to create new posts for us so that we will get benefit under SRO 308”.
