Police arrest 4 Kashmiri players for playing Pakistan National Anthem

Srinagar: J&K Police have arrested four players and is looking for others for playing Pakistan national anthem ahead of a cricket match in northern Kashmir’s district of Bandipora, reports said on Sunday.

They said that a cricket match was played between two local teams at Arin area of Bandipora. However, before the match started, both the teams lined up and Pakistan national anthem was played. However, it is not first time that such an incident has happened.

A video about the whole episode went viral on social media.

However, police have registered an FIR under section 13 of the unlawful activities and initiated proceedings, they said adding four players have been arrested, so far.

Similar incidents have also been reported in the past also when police arrested players in the Valley.
