Srinagar: Scores of candidates who had appeared in type test of Junior assistant post alleged that some of the candidates who had failed in type test were shown qualified in the short list issued by Service Selection Board (SSB).
The aggrieved candidates protested against the featuring of ‘disqualified’ candidates in the shortlist published recently by SSB.
They said that they performed better in speed and accuracy- a parameter for qualifying the typing test- than the candidates who were shortlisted.
Mubashira, one of the aspirants said: “I have scored an accuracy of 97 percent and a speed of 50 words per minute, but my name has not appeared on the shortlist.”
She added that she was surprised to see undeserved candidates who have scored less in the test. “The list is full of those candidates who have not scored accuracy points more than 80 %.”
The protesters appealed service selection board to intervene in the matter.
