Srinagar: The possession of ‘Aiwan-e-Sahafat Kashmir’ or Kashmir Press Club was handed over to Press Club Kashmir president on Wednesday.

The Press Club designated as “Aiwane-e-Sahafat Kaahmir” is first such place for journalists in Kashmir.

Director information Muneer-ul-Islam on Wednesday formally handed over the possession of Kashmir Press Club to senior journalist and President of Press Club Kashmir, Mohammad Saleem Pandit.

In a tweet, Department of Information and Public Relations mentioned: “Director Information & Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam today formally handed over the possession of the 9-HB Building at Polo View Srinagar to Mr M Saleem Pandit, President Press Club Kashmir.

The building will come up as the first Aiwane-e-Sahafat in Srinagar.
