Funeral of slain Sopore youth held amid pro-freedom, pro-Pak slogans

Srinagar: The funeral prayers of Arif, 25, who was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the outskirts of Sopore area of Baramulla district in Northern Kashmir was held at playground of Unisoo village.

According to reports, Arif was ex-MR at K Labs and currently earning his livelihood from his personal ECO car.

Hundreds of villagers including men, women and children attended his funeral while women mourners were seen shouting pro-azadi, pro-Islam and pro-Pakistan slogans as the body was marched through the village.


Slain Arif is survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers, and besides his handicapped father who is chairman of People’s League.
