Pulwama: A shutdown to mourn the militants killed during the Lethpora Fidayeen attack was observed for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in parts of Pulwama district.
The militants, two from Pulwama district and one from Pakistan, were killed during a 36-hour-long-gunfight at the Commando Training Centre (CTC) in Lethpora area of Pulwama.
Five CRPF personnel were killed and three others were injured during the attack.
According to reports, a complete shutdown was observed in main town Pulwama and in Rajpora, Kakapora, Tahab and Tral areas of the district.
All shops, commercial establishments, offices and other places of work remained closed for the second day on Tuesday.
Traffic, however, plied normally in these areas. Train services on the Banihal-Srinagar track were also resumed on Tuesday.
There were no incidents of stone throwing reported from anywhere in these areas.
