DGP inaugurates ‘Akbar chowk’ in Baramulla

BARAULLA: Director General Police (DGP), S P Vaid, accompanied by IG Police Munir Ahmad Khan on Sunday inaugurated Akbar Chowk in the name of slain policeman Mohammad Akbar in Baramulla.
Mohammad Akbar was ASI in police department and was killed in Mohra area of border town of Uri in a Fidayen attack on 7th December 2014.
DGP on the occasion paid rich tributes to the policemen who lost their lives in the line of duty. The family members of Mohammad Akbar were also present on the occasion.
SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain, ASP Shafqat Hussain, DSP headquarters and other officers from the north Kashmir were present on the occasion. Later DGP addressed police officers in police lines Baramulla.
