8 doctors terminated in Kashmir for unauthorized absence

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered termination of 8 doctors for unauthorized absence from duties for several years.
The terminated doctors were continuously absent from the duty unauthorizedly and did not respond to the government notices for reporting back to the directorate of health services.
Formal order in this regard has been issued by the Health and Medical Education Department vide order numbers 713-HME of 2019. All the doctors, who have been terminated, are from Kashmir Division.
As per the order issued by the principal secretary, health and medical education, Pawan Kotwal, the director health services, Kashmir had recently submitted a list of 11 unauthorized absent doctors in Kashmir.
“The notices were issued through leading daily newspapers to all these doctors asking them to report back to their respective duties but only two of them responded and joined back following which the termination orders were issued,” he said in the order.
The doctors, whose services have been terminated include Dr Rumana Masudi, Dr Tajali Nazir Shora, Dr Iqbal Rasool, Dr Bilal Ahmad Baba, Dr Muhammad Idrees Bashir, Dr Muzamil Ahmad Baba, Dr Imran Ahmad Gattoo and Dr Muhammad Hussain.
