Srinagar: Contingent paid Workers (CPWS) in Education department on Thursday staged a demonstration to press for their regularisation here.
Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, a contingent paid Worker in Beerwah said “I am working in the school from last 18 years as contingent paid Worker. Govt announced regularisation of various casual labours of different departments including education department, but we were not covered in it. ”
The protesting employees threatened to shut down the Super 50 coaching centres in case “state government failed to regularise us”.
Abdul Rahman Mir, another contingent paid Worker said “we are on job 24 hours in the school .The government should also think about us. We have every right to get regularised.”
