Meanwhile, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary Home Department filed the reply.
The petition has been filed by SK Mishra, presently posted as Director General (Prisons), through his counsels Ajaz Ahmed and Shuja-ul-Haq.
The plea was that the order for the appointment of SP Vaid as Director General Police had been issued in violation of the State Business Rules and directions of the Supreme Court.
