South Kashmir areas mourn JeM commander’s killing

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Tral and Kakapora areas of Pulwama district Wednesday to mourn the killing of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Commander in a gunfight with government forces on Tuesday.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that all shops and business establishments remained closed in Tral and Kakapora areas while as traffic remained mostly off the roads in Tral.
47-year-old, militant, Noor Mohammad Tantray, was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Karnbal locality of Samboora, near Pampore area of Pulwama district.
Noor was serving a life-imprisonment sentence in Central Jail Srinagar when he jumped his parole in the year 2015 to join militancy. He was a native of Dar Ganaigund village in Tral area of Pulwama.
