Srinagar: Despite restrictions, thousands of people reached and many are on the way to slain Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander, Noor Muhammad Tantray’s, village in southern Kashmir’s Tral town.
Noor Muhammad died in a gunfight with government forces in Samboora area last night. His body was driven to his native village in Tral where rirst round of funeral prayers were held when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama district against the killing of top JeM commander.
Shutdown is being observed in areas including Pulwama, Kakapora, Pampore, Awantipora, Tral. All shops and other business establishments are closed in the district.
Authorities also suspended internet services in the area while as train services in southern Kashmir were also halted fot security reasons.
