Srinagar: In a first of its kind, a Srinagar based Tour and Travel Agency is using latest Information Technology (IT) tools to reduce the human effort in exploring Kashmir valley as tourist destination.
Fly Paradise, the agency, will be a bend of IT and Kashmir related information which a tourist needs.
“Fly Paradise will be providing all information about any place he/she wishes to visit,” Umar Khan said, a Fly
Paradise’s chief technology officer (CTO).
“We are giving such a service that once a tourist lands in Srinagar, his cell-phone device will be attached with our main device which will guide him/her to every chosen place,” he added.
Khan said that Fly Paradise will introduce “semantic search” in its tour platform. “The aim is to give relevant information to the tourist when he/she intends to find a place anywhere in the world for that our platform will get every information of a customer.”
He informed that Fly Paradise will be implementing “Internet of Things (IoT)” technology to “give its customers exact information about their trips, locations, fare”. “In case, a customer looses his/her luggage or other belongings, this technology will help them trace it,” he added. “IoT is currently being used at London Airport.”
Danish Farooq, the CEO of Fly Paradise, said that his company will engage freelance writers to promote Kashmir and other places as tour destination. “Our platform, wherein we have services of talented IT engineers, will be one-stop shop for a tourist,” he said at an event held at Winterfell Cafe at Boulevard, Srinagar on Sunday.
“The freelance writers will be given resource to visit tourist destinations and write first-hand account so that our platform has rich knowledge bank from Kashmir and about Kashmir,” Danish added.
Junaid Masoodi, a technocrat who has travelled across Europe and Asia, said that the Flyparadise.in will be changing its domain on Google so as to get gelled with the latest IT world.
Currently, the Fly Paradise, engages services of 8-10 professionals who are working on the platform.
At the event, a film produced by the Fly Paradise was shown to the participants who wrote reviews of it to get a place in the company.
