SHOPIAN: MLA Shopian, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, on Thursday visited District Hospital Shopian, and took stock of the healthcare facilities in the hospital. MLA expressed dismay over the lack of proper facilities to the patients, and directed the hospital administrations to work with utmost dedication to serve the patients in a professional manner.
“MLA reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients, and interacted with the patients. He enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the hospital,” said a spokesman.
“He assured them that the government is committed to provide quality medical facilities to them,” he said, adding, “The government is committed to provide every medical facility round-the-clock in the hospital so that the common people, especially patients, don’t suffer for want of better facilities especially during wee hours.”
MLA went around various wards, units of the hospital, and received detailed account of the activities, availability of infrastructure, manpower, medicines, diagnostic equipment’s and sanitation in the hospital. He interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. He also donated one ambulance for District Hospital Shopian.
