Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday visited the residence of a slain woman, Ruby Jan at Batmurran Shopian to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
While addressing a gathering in the village, Malik said ‘killing innocents under the garb of encounters and putting properties to flames and even not sparing cattle is uncovering the brutal face of Indian democracy in Kashmir.’
Malik said “Cries of little Azra, daughter of martyred lady Ruby Jaan is piercing our heart and soul. Ruby Jaan was slaughtered inside her house and to cover this heinous crime a story of her participating in a protest was cooked up by the killers and their abettors. Martyr Misra Bano of Younis Handwara was also killed in same manner and she also left a little daughter behind her,” Malik said. “this is how India is working in Kashmir and this is for what its trigger happy forces are deployed in Jammu &Kashmir.”
Yasin Malik said international community is maintaining a criminal silence on the killings of civilians in Kashmir and infact abetting indian aggression here.
“When human killings are glamorized and celebrated and trade, commerce becomes more important than the values like human life and dignity, dooms day should not be far off and no one can save this earth from becoming a much worse place to live,” he said.
He asked the people to distinguish between friends and enemies and said “Indian rulers, their Puppets in Kashmir including all pro-India politicians, political parties, assembly members and rulers are directly responsible for these killings because it is these people who are legalizing these killings and providing necessary legal cover to the killers”
JKLF chairman visited the bereaved family of slain Ruby Jaan and Tanveer Ahmad and expressed solidarity with them. He was accompanied by Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal Organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt.
