Killing spree well planned: Bar

SRINAGAR: Kashmir High Court Bar Association on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of Ruby Jan in Shopian and alleged firing of pellets in eyes and chests of several people and injuring of scores of others by government forces. It also supported the shutdown call issued by the joint resistance leadership (JRL) today.
in a statement said, “The killing spree is a well-planned genocide of the people of Kashmir by the Government of India and its puppets in Kashmir to muzzle and prevent them from asking for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions guaranteeing the right of self-determination.”
“In order to show its solidarity with all those who have suffered at the hands of ruthless forces during the past three days and also to register the protest of the members of the Bar Association against the genocide, the Bar Association has decided to support the strike call given by the JRL for 20th of December, 2017 by asking all its members to abstain from court work on Wednesday,” the statement said.
